Posh beach hut with swanky interiors, stunning views and built-in speakers on sale for 285k

A POSH beach hut kitted out with stunning views, swanky interiors and built-in speakers has gone on the market for £285,000.

The 10ft by 16ft timber cabin in Dorset has an expensive fitted kitchen that wouldn't look out of place in a modern home.

The hut comes equipped with heated running water, a cooker, fridge freezer, lighting and a built-in speaker system powered by solar panels on the roof.

It even has its own toilet, unlike most of the other 360 huts at Mudeford Sandbank in Christchurch, Dorset, whose owners have to make do with using a communal one in the shower block.

The cabin can sleep four or five people on the mezzanine floor while the smart downstairs lounge area can also be converted into a double bed.

The value of the sought-after bolthole is in it's location, as the sandy spit it is on is so isolated it requires a 20 minute walk, a ride on a novelty land train or a short ferry ride to get there.

But the new owners will be rewarded with spectacular sea view across Christchurch Bay to the Isle of Wight, and can also stay overnight in the huts from March to October.

For the £285,000 asking price you could buy a four-bedroom semi-detached house in Northallerton, North Yorks, or a five-bedroom detached house in Runcorn, Cheshire.

As well as the hefty purchase price, the new owners will have to pay annual rates to Christchurch Borough Council of about £500 and a licence fee of about £2,500 a year.

Charlie Dancer, from Denisons estate agents, who are handling the sale, said: "This is a lovely hut, it's been done really well. The kitchen is nicer than you would find in a lot of houses and it's been finished to a really high standard."

The estate agent continued: "It's immaculate inside. You have got a big mezzanine floor with plenty of space for sleeping upstairs.

"It has a speaker system wired into the hut and it's connected to the solar panels so you can keep track of your battery level and the intake of the solar panels.

"There's LED lighting, a water heater, which is quite unusual to have in these huts, and it is one of the only ones I know that has a toilet, which is very handy in the middle of the night.

"It's all quite fancy and done very nicely. It's got everything you could want or need really.

They continued: "This one is on the harbour side, so you've got really nice harbour views and you get lovely sunsets there. You've also got the added benefit you can have boats and kayaks in front of you and can launch straight onto the water from there.

"The huts at Mudeford are completely unique, there's nothing else like it I have seen anywhere in the country. When you get there you almost feel like you're abroad, especially when we get the nice weather there it is a lovely spot."
