Early Life

José Manuel Figueroa was born as José Manuel Figueroa González on May 15, 1975, at Cook County Hospital, in Guerrero, Mexico, to parents Joan Sebastian and Teresa Figueroa González.

Her father was a Mexican singer-songwriter who has written more than 1,000 songs including compositions for Lucero, Vicente Fernández, Rocío Dúrcal, and Pepe Aguilar. He died from a bone tumor in July 2015.

Jose is one of his parent's nine children. He has three brothers, Julián Figueroa, Juan Sebastián Figueroa and Trigo de Jesús Figueroa, and five sisters, Marcelia Figueroa, Juliana Joeri Figueroa-Alonso, Joana Marcelia Figueroa-Espín, Sarelia Figueroa, and Zarelea Figueroa.
