He went on to star in films such as Dune, Silver Bullet, Heartbreak Ridge, License to Kill, The People Under the Stairs and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. On television, he appeared as "Big" Ed Hurley in Twin Peaks. He retired from acting in 1999, but returned in the revival of Twin Peaks 2017
